With over 30 years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), Gigi excels in addressing complex business challenges across diverse industries. Her extensive background has honed a robust skill set, positioning her as a strategic, visionary, collaborative leader and consensus-builder. Gigi is adept at achieving business objectives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving EHS performance.

Demonstrating a proven track record in compliance, she specializes in developing and executing highly effective EHS strategies. Her focus is on reducing occupational hazards and risks, preventing incidents, minimizing environmental impacts, improving operational efficiency, and mitigating business continuity risks. Gigi excels in integrating EHS management programs into core business processes throughout the organization.

At INGENIUM, Gigi’s primary goal is to infuse environmental health and safety excellence into daily operations. Her advocacy for a comprehensive approach extends to both physical and psychological safety. Gigi actively encourages business leaders to foster a sense of psychological safety within their teams, a pivotal aspect of her leadership philosophy.

Currently, Gigi oversees the EHS Team at INGENIUM, where she establishes compliance strategy and guides its execution across INGENIUM locations throughout the US. As a vital member of INGENIUM’s Executive Leadership Team, she actively shapes strategic and operational initiatives related to safety and compliance.

She has extensive knowledge of compliance regulations from the EPA, OSHA, DOT, and various State and local bodies. Her expertise includes environmental permitting, EHS auditing, TSDF auditing, hazardous material management, and EHS training. She excels in emergency response, business continuity, sustainability, strategic planning, and EHS Management Systems implementation.

Before her tenure at INGENIUM, Gigi served as the owner and principal consultant at Bealkowski EHS Services. During this period, she provided support to various Johnson & Johnson (J&J) businesses spanning medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer product divisions. In this capacity, Gigi collaborated with a diverse array of organizations, contributing to the development, implementation, and optimization of world-class EHS Programs.

Gigi earned her bachelor’s degree in Bio Psychology from Chico State University. Actively engaged in professional networks, she is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and holds the position of VP of Mentorship on the board of the Women in Safety Excellence (WISE) SF Chapter.
